  On August 28 took a trip into Front Street in Lahaina to get some breakfast and came upon the Sunrise Cafe.  We were immediately seated but also advised the kitchen was running slow and would be about 45 minute wait for the food.  We appreciated the honesty and chose to stay.  We ended up meeting and chatting with a local who has lived on island about a decade and he kept us entertained with his travels around the world, so it made the time go by fast.
  
  The husband ordered the loco moco and I ordered the standard two egg breakfast and mango iced tea.  We had a really great meal.  The mango iced tea was like nothing I had tasted before and my husband's loco moco (which I tried) was simply delicious with a very flavorful patty.  
  
  The building itself is small but we had a wonderful time sitting outside and enjoying a lovely Maui morning.  Service was really good too.  A very nice young man served our food and checked back with us several times.  I definitely recommend this cute little local spot for some great home style meal and hospitality!  I will be back!

  I am perplexed that this restaurant has any good reviews. By far the worst breakfast/ service in Maui.
  
  The waitress was rude and didn't care to smile once. The place is super run down, it actually looks like it will collapse any day. No ac and fans barely work. I highly doubt Code passed.
  
  Husband ordered French toast and side of eggs.
  I ordered eggs, toast, and oat meal. As we were waiting for our food, we noticed a man complaining about where his food, didn't think anything of it. It literally took an hour and 20 mins to get our food. Not once did the waitress care to come back and let us know..well the cook is actually cooking off of a normal house stove-4 burners. The food was average, my hubbys French toast was the smallest we've ever seen.
  
  I do not recommend this place. Unless, you want to wait over an hour for basic breakfast, rude service and no ac. Never coming here again.

  The food was phenomenal! Best breakfast we had on Maui. We shared a cinnamon roll (covered in icing and maple syrup). We got the monte cristo (tip dip this in the left over icing and syrup!) and the breakfast burrito. The Monte Cristo was amazing, we thought so, the table next to us thought so - order the Monte Cristo! The breakfast burrito was also delicious, I think could use some more egg and less rice, but the flavors were on point!
  
  After reading reviews we were a little nervous. Things were a little slow, but nothing out of this world crazy. There was on gentleman serving the whole place and he did a great job. Friendly conversation and always a smile on his face. We are so glad we stayed!!!

  So happy we chose to eat here for brunch, I will say its a cute little restaurant slighty hidden next to a pinapple store so you may miss it as we did we actually walked by it 3 times before we realized where it was but I highly reccommend looking out for it because its so worth it !!! I ordered the sunrise platter consisting of 2 eggs bacon and homemade potatoes with a pineapple and banana on the side. Let me just say the potatoes were the bomb !!!! Well cooked and marinated !!! Eggs were excellent along with bacon and fruit.
  My husband ordered the Loco Moco and wow it had an amazing mushroom gravy that was to die for. The meat was also delicious and good quality it was paired with perfectly cooked white rice and a over medium egg, also very generous portions. !! Overall I was pleased with the quality of the food along with the hospitality of the waitress and waitor I will be back !!

  Don't get what they hype or good reviews are all about. Food was nothing spectacular, service was eh, and the place itself is in need of some TLC. I am still perplexed on how this place is rated 4 stars out of a 960 reviews...
